I also joined the Wolverine Sports Club in 1995 as it was required as a ride leader of a club ride. I raced the mt bike exclusively 1995 thru 2000. After a year off in 2001 due to a lower back injury I returned to concentrate on the road. Got my first USCF licence in 2002 and won my first race entered in Masters 35+ and finished the year 3rd place in the Michigan Challenge for Masters 35+. The following year I upgraded from a Cat 5 to a Cat 2 and finished the year 6th place in the 2003 Michigan Challenge for Cat 1/2. Since then I have concentrated on mt bike racing but will race the occasional road race if there's an open weekend in the mt bike sched...
